VideoSolo Software Supports NVIDIA® CUDA™ Technology
Part 1. What is NVIDIA CUDA?
CUDA, stands for Compute Unified Device Architecture, is an extension of the C programming language created by NVIDIA. It can greatly improve computer performance by harnessing the power of GPU (graphics processing unit).
With millions of CUDA-enabled GPUs sold to date, software developers, scientists and researchers are finding broad-ranging uses for CUDA, including image and video processing, computational biology and chemistry, fluid dynamics simulation, CT image reconstruction, seismic analysis, ray tracing, and much more.
What Can CUDA Do?
In order to expend the full functions of GPU greatly, NVIDIA released the CUDA technology. This CUDA technology has been adopted by thousands of applications and there are over 500 million CUDA-enabled GPUs working in compute clusters, super computers, notebooks and workstations. What’s more, the CUDA is good at doing a massive number of tasks at the same time, and doing those tasks relatively quickly.
That’s why VideoSolo programmers spend so much time on redesigning our products for CUDA and improve the video encoding & decoding performance tremendously. The most important point is that you can enjoy a fast & smooth conversion speed on your computer with a CUDA-enabled GPU.
Our Programmers have already tested that the converting speed of the program with NVIDIA® CUDA™ technology is 6X faster than before. You can see all data in details from the graphic below.
Compatible Video Codecs:
CUDA™ technology accelerates conversion to AVI, MP4, FLV, MKV, MOV, and MPEG-2 TS with the H.264 codec.

Part 2. What is NVIDIA NVENC?
NVIDIA NVENC is a powerful video encoding technology developed by NVIDIA since CUDA. It was introduced with the Kepler-based GeForce 600 series in March 2012, as a product feature that offloads H264 video encoding form the host CPU. Compared with the CUDA-based or CPU-based encoders, CUP-based NVENC can provide higher quality video encoding.
What Can NVENC Work for You?
• Record Screen with High Video Quality
The NVIDIA NVENC acceleration enables you to capture screen video with the original image quality. And it will only take very low CPU usage. It also lets you improve the recording ability by using the GPU of the graphics card.
• Convert Video in High Speed
NVENC supports converting videos to other formats in high speed, with high compression ratio and in high quality.
• Broadcast Live HD Video on Live Stream Website
NVIDIA NVENC helps you broadcast live HD videos on YouTube, Twitch.tv, Hitbox.tv and other live streaming websites easily with high definition image quality.
• Get Fantastic Gaming Experience
Want to record a HD gameplay video without affecting the game-playing experience? It’s easy! The powerful NVENC acceleration technology will help you achieve that!
Compatible Video Codecs:
NVIDIA® NVENC™ acceleration speeds up processing of H.264 and HEVC (H.265) video encoding, even in 4k resolution videos.

Part 3. Troubleshooting
If you can’t enable NVIDIA® acceleration, try updating your graphics card drivers:
• Click here to go to NVIDIA’s official site where you can download drivers for your GPU. Please only use drivers from your hardware manufacturer. Software downloaded from other sources may contain malware.
• On the driver download page, either enter your GPU model (see above to find out which GPU you have) and operating system, or use NVIDIA® automatic scanner to pick the right driver version. You will be then offered to download and install the drivers.
• After you’ve installed the drivers, restart your computer for the changes to take effect and try enabling NVIDIA GPU acceleration.
